Attack suicide in the province of Candahar (southern Afghanistan)

The attack today was the worst since the fall of the Taleban, militia that controls 90% of Afghanistan until the invasion of the coalition led by the USA in 2001, according to a news agency Associated Press (AP).

Jan had been shown recently to command an auxiliary police force, formed by residents of the local tribes, to the security of the region of Arghandab, to the north of the province.

The group gathered to view the rinha, in the region west of the city, included hundreds of people, including leaders of militias. After the explosion, witnesses heard by the AP said they were shooting. Although there was no information on how many people died in the shooting.
